Mission Statement

"To assist people with disabilities to maximize their sense of honor, dignity and self-worth by providing quality vocational evaluation and training; community employment suited to the individual's needs, skills, desires, and social development; and residential services which enable them to live in comfort while attaining their highest level of independence in all phases of their lives."

Company Profile

EFI is a private nonprofit corporation located in Shelton, Washington. We provide financial, residential, vocational, transportation, community-based employment, and community access services to adults with Developmental Disabilities who have various challenges in their lives. While our main focus has been serving adults in the Mason County area, we also provide job placement services in nearby Thurston County.

As a nonprofit organization, EFI maintains the facilities needed by its clientele to achieve maximum independence. All training and support services complement, not replace, normal community services and family support systems. Together, these systems form an extended family for the client and are key to his or her maximum empowerment.

EFI currently serves approximately 85 clients and employs near 100 staff in various capacities throughout the company. And our numbers are growing.
