Advantage Employment Partnerships

( a division of  EFI )

Representing People with Abilities!

 

Advantage Employment Partnerships staff work closely with the Department of Social & Health Services Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and the Division of Developmental Disabilities to place individuals with disabilities in the community workforce.  EFI's focus is on the individual's abilities while working with the business community to place, train, and provide support to both the client and employer.

Services We Provide:

  • Job Search for Your Interests

  • Resumes

  • Job Counseling

  • Interview Advice

  • Pre-Job Training

  • Job Placement

  • On-the-Job Training

  • Long-Term Support

Establishing Participant's Parameters:

  • Participants Employment Preferences

  • Contributions to Employment (skills, aptitudes, experience, abilities)

  • Participant's Limitations

Assessment:

  • On-the-job, unpaid 4 to 16 hours

Job Development:

  • Identify places of employment that match the participant's Employment Parameters

  • Assist with the placement of applications and resumes to selected businesses

Job Coaching:

  • Work with employer to identify training and support needs

  • On-the-job training provided by Advantage staff at no cost to the employer, typically for the first month of employment, sometimes longer

  • Job coaching is sometimes reinstated as additional tasks are added or if retraining becomes necessary

Job Retention:

  • Follow-up services with the participants and/or employer

  • Intervention, if necessary, to assure satisfaction to both the employer and the participant
